Lying in bed, you look through the window as the sun sets. It has been a rainy day. The sky was a blanket of clouds. As evening progressed, a soft pink hue emerged from the horizon. On a clear day, more of the sky would be pink. Today, the stokes of pink visible on the horizon are what you have. You smile as you notice that there is a break in the clouds. Also on the horizon is a haze, the kind of haze you know from sunny days. The haze from when the fog and clouds start to melt away, leaving clarity.
Watching the sunset, you fall asleep.
In the morning, you are woken up by the beaming sun illuminating your room. The sky is cloudy, but there are more patches of blue. After days of rain and dark clouds, you are reminded that this is summer. You get up to make a morning coffee. As you sip, you look out onto the horizon that was once pink and think of last night. You ponder the resplendent sky, then stop to wonder: what will I see in the sky today?
