I am sincerely grateful for all of the knowledge people share about personal websites on the internet. From other blogs, I have found inspiration of things I can do on my website. I have learned how to do things I was previously unable to do. I have been inspired to create new things.
In kind, I like to share what I am learning about personal websites, whether as long-form blog posts, technical tutorials, or lists. The inspiration for my writings comes from many places: a passion for documenting what I learn as I go, discussions with other website makers and bloggers, noticing that a resource doesn’t exist that I wish I had, and more.
With that in mind, I am excited to announce a new series on my blog: Ask the Website Maker. In this series, I will ask questions about the what, why, and how of my website: what tools I use, why I have a website, how things work. I welcome questions about the forms I write about: poetry, technical articles, blog posts, reflections, and more. I am happy to write technical guides that explain various parts of my site, too, from how the static site generator behind my site (Aurora) works, to how my pages are laid out. Questions on design are welcome, too!
