Ideas, over coffee | James’ Coffee Blog

It is a warm, summer day. The sky is clear. The clouds has receded after days of rain. Over your morning coffee, you take a breath and realise the stillness of the moment. The wisps of steam coming from the side of your favourite coffee cup; the one that feels just right in your hands. While gazing out the window, a question comes to mind: What could I make today? The most exciting of questions!

You spend some time thinking about the last few days and what you saw, with reference to the notes you took. Themes come to mind, and ideas start to take shape. The energy of the caffeine in the coffee brings greater fidelity to those ideas. You feel butterflies in your stomach, a familliar feeling but one you always associate with childhood. With your pencil in hand, you jot down notes. Of words to write, tools you could make, recipes you could cook.

You are in a comfortable environment and let your imagination take you away, and a sentiment echoes in your mind that you will take throughout the day: I love making things!
